Unreal Technical Director

Dazzle Pictures is looking for a capable and experienced Unreal Technical Director to join our studio. You will play a crucial role in leading the technical aspects of our Unreal Engine-based projects, as well as oversee the implementation ofUnreal Engine workflows.The role is an exciting opportunity to join our fast-growing, dynamic team and contribute to cutting-edge projects in an equally dynamic environment.

THIS POSITION IN A NUTSHELL

Lead the technical direction and vision for Unreal Engine projects,ensuring high-quality execution and optimization.
Collaborate closely with the development team to identify and solvetechnical challenges, providing guidance and expertise in Unreal Engine andrelated technologies.
Architect and implement robust, scalable, and efficient systems withinUnreal Engine, focusing on gameplay mechanics, AI, rendering, and performanceoptimization.
Define and enforce coding standards, best practices, and workflows to ensure high-quality code and efficient development processes.
Conduct performance analysis and profiling to identify bottlenecks, optimize performance, and improve overall game stability.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and advancements in Unreal Engine and related technologies, and evaluate their potential application in our projects.
Work with engineering to develop and help integrate technologies and features that will be the backbone of the project.
Identify pipeline issues and propose solutions to establish a better workflow and framework.

THE KIND OF PERSON WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Extensive professional experience as a Technical Director or similarrole with a strong focus on Unreal Engine.
Expert-level knowledge of Unreal Engine, including blueprint scripting, materials, particle systems, and shader development.
Proven track record of successfully delivering high-quality, optimized Unreal Engine projects, on time and within budget.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think creatively and overcome technical challenges.
Excellent communication and leadership abilities, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Experience with Sequencer in Unreal Engine for Cinematics.
Experience with Python is a huge plus.
Experience with C++ is a nice to have (not as important as Python).
Experience with openPYPE is also an advantage.
